We were formed in response to the recently announced legislation from the government of Alberta targeting queer and trans youth. Our primary goal is to highlight queer excellence across the hospitality industry in order to build community and support queer causes.
100% of proceeds from the zine will be donated to the Skipping Stone Trans Affirming Legal Fund.

Our founder, Calliope Draper, is a trans-feminine bartender, educator and activist currently based in Amiskwaciwaskihikan, colonially known as Edmonton. She has traveled across Canada speaking on building queer inclusive spaces in the hospitality industry. She is guided by the philosophy that building a better world starts with building b

She has traveled across Canada speaking on building queer inclusive spaces in the hospitality industry. She is guided by the philosophy that building a better world starts with building better communities; and to build better communities we must first build inclusive spaces.

It features interviews with hospitality professionals across Canada on a variety of topics, profiles of bartenders and community submitted cocktails. The goal is to build a broad community of practice of queer and trans bartenders and to uplift and highlight the work
